I think I must’ve put on 2kg over the weekend! When Pig came over, I finally managed to bring us to have lunch at the much-talked-about Tetsuya at Goodwood Park Hotel. Well, I only managed to take one photo, cos we were pretty irritated with the waitresses shuffling to and fro behind us, and how they were shouting across to each other in Mandarin and Hokkien about which table was waiting for what and why the Kitchen didn’t have whatever items they needed. Hello? I thought it was a leading Japanese restaurant in Singapore. We were certainly not impressed.

So the bill set me back by $180 for a freaking lunch which wasn’t that impressive. And you know what? I wasn’t even full. I really wanted to order a bowl of udon but I was really very unsettled by the waitresses shuffling around behind us. It wasn’t that the food was lousy, but I really didn’t feel like the money was well spent. I guess we should go there again when it isn’t so crowded and when we can get a private dining room, instead of sitting along the sushi bar which apparently is the longest sushi bar counter that can seat up to 25 diners.

We adjourned to this terrible Thai pub in East Coast… OMG I’m totally aghast at the Pei Zuos and the whole culture there. I tell you if any of your BFs go there on their own with their guy friends… you should TTYN (Talk to you NEVER!!) them forever!!!

In a week, I’m going to step into my freaking late twenties. I still think it is mid-twenties, I insist! Haha

I have so many doubts in my life, and I’m feeling absolutely lousy and grumpy lately. I think this is no different with the other babes around me during this period.

Just look at Brother for example… Looking absolutely frazzled with his/her never ending and NEVER EVER COMPLETED ESSAYS!!!

Best friend always frustrated about work. But fear not! I got her her new pet from Japan haha

Lina got me hooked on Paris Hilton’s My New BFF… Super wu liao and lame show man! But it’s good for bored pple who needed to pass time. HAAAa

Susan Boyle is an inspiration.

Has everyone watched Susan Boyle on Britains got Talent? There had been so much hoo haa about her performance that I had to go watch it for myself, and I tell you, she is a living testimony of dreams coming true.

Her rendition of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables just made me cry and it drew such an overwhleming response from the audience. Please watch! Words just can’t do justice to her awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping performance!!!

I think Japan has way too many pple. Their culture is all about following the rules and laws set. They queue orderly and patiently for everything; can you imagine queueing for an average of 80 freaking minutes for some Universal Studios or Disneyland ride? Well we couldn’t, so we didn’t take much rides. On another occasion, the aircon in the bus was really warm, and so the requested for the AC to be turned to a lower temperature, but the driver said no, the Government set tour buses to have their AC at a minimum of 24 degrees. O.o seriously no comments.

But other than that, it was a wonderful holiday where Sakura and Hello Kitty were in abundance! For the 1st 2 days, we were awed and super excited with the beautiful Sakura trees in bloom. But by the 3rd day, we were seriously bored arleady. Hahaha. Sakura trees are so unique; when in bloom, the entire tree are just filled with flowers and there are no leaves at all! And the colours of the flowers are so beautiful and in contrast with the blue skies!

Surprisingly, I didn’t find Japan’s fashion to my liking so I didn’t buy any clothes, thus my low expenditure there hehe. I bought mostly skincare and cosmetics and some hello kitty, although I must say I was pretty disappointed with the much-hyped about visit to Puroland AKA Hello Kitty Land! It was just too kiddy and there wasn’t much Hello Kitty merchandise suitable for me to buy.

Pig asked: Huh? Puroland is only within a building ah? I thought it was a huge theme park like Disney.

Ok will continue on my Sakura-filled holiday later on!

As I grow older, I become more and more afraid of things.

When I was in the plane yesterday, the slightest trembles of the plane just made me tense up. I didn’t use to be like that before! Then it dawned on me, it’s because I know more and more about how the stupid plane works and what are the possible reasons that caused the plane to shake! Too much reading and discovery channel makes one a paranoid kid. I had a blog entry previously about discovery channels and plane disasters before, and I think the more frequently that I travel on flights the more unsettled I get! How unnerving.

Just when I thought plane disasters are a result of malfunction on crappy weather, there was a news article today about how a poor man had to find his pilot dead mid flight and had to land the plane with instructions from the flight control stations to save his family on the private plane. Then some weeks ago, I was at some hotel having dinner with my parents when suddenly there was this huge BOOM! sound and then a loud droning noise that carried on for ages. If it was 5 years ago I would probably have continued eating nonchalently but well, I started to get edgy and uncomfortable and I just wanted to get out before the bloody hotel exploded! All these terrorism in the news is just making everyone scared over every little thing that people used to not give 2 hoots about!

If I never watched discovery channel, read magazines and newspapers, and research things online, I would probably be less paranoid. Thus, I conclude, ignorance is a wonderful form of blessing.

Ok I just had to rave and rant abit about this randomly.

Brother’s Bday this year came early…

We went to Ashton’s at Serangoon Gardens one weekend to celebrate for Brother. It’s the IN thing to celebrate at coffee shops now, don’t you know? Times are bad! You should be happy to be celebrating your bday!

Saving is tough with the internet…

My Japan trip in April is burning a humongous hole in my pocket, and I’m still trying to save so I can shop abit there too. Saving while cutting back on all shopping is hard!!! I try to go home after work so I don’t get tempted to buy things, but then I’ll feel damn bu shuang so I’ll go troll online blogshops. DAMNIT MY SAVINGS PLAN IS NOT GOING WELL!!!

Very pleased. Very very pleased.

Today, I gave Brother my 2 cents worth of his/her horrible essay about Myths and Plays and how they Delight (or don’t) the people during those times. Although most of it was pretty crap, I felt very pleased with myself for being able to come up with those nonsense. I’m sure that could add to the 1500 word count! Haa.

Brother, you better use what I suggested for your essay. And when you get your degree and get to stand on stage, please remember to thank your loving Sister. Whahahaaha
